School of Neuroscience Ceremony and Reception

Date:

  • Saturday May 18th, 2019

Who is Invited:

  • Students: All School of Neuroscience 2019 graduates are invited to walk at the School of Neuroscience spring graduation ceremony.  Fall 2018 graduates are also invited to attend if they did not already attend the 2018 commencement ceremony.  Students graduating in the summer or fall will not be listed in the university program, but will be listed in our program if they have RSVP'd to attend our ceremony by April 18th.  Students graduating in the spring have the opportunity to receive their diploma at the ceremony.  Summer and fall graduates will receive their diploma once degree requirements are completed, but may still walk at the spring ceremony.
  • Guests: Families and friends are welcome to attend in support of their students.

Ceremony Time/Location:

  • 1:00 p.m. Anne and Ellen Fife Theater, Moss Arts Center. Students must arrive by 12:00 p.m. for lineup.

When to arrive:

  • Students should plan to arrive at least 1 hour prior to the start time of the graduation ceremony.  The doors to the theater will open around 12:15 p.m. for guests.  Light refreshments will be provided after the ceremony

Attire:

  • Graduating students must wear academic regalia. Caps, gowns, hoods, and tassels may be purchased from University Bookstore.

Tickets:

  • Tickets are not required; however, students are encouraged to RSVP to the ceremony and reception with an estimated number of guests in attendance.

Parking:

  • Guests are encouraged to park in the North End Center parking garage which is less than a five minute walk from the Moss Arts Center.  Weekend parking at the North End Center is free of charge.  Limited handicap accessible parking is available directly in front of the Moss Arts Center.  Locations can be viewed below or on the interactive campus map.

University Commencement

  • Degrees are officially conferred at the university ceremony on Friday, May 17th, but students will receive their diploma at the School of Neuroscience Ceremony.  Information about the university ceremony can be viewed here.
