Why do seizures occur? How can disruptions in brain development lead to later epilepsy? How does traumatic brain injury lead to later epilepsy? How do neurons and astrocytes work together so sustain neurotransmission and control network function? We utilize electrophysiology, imaging, genetics, in vivo recording, computational approaches, and more to try to address these important questions. We love to develop new methods to understand brain function and utilize all the amazing tools created by the best scientists around the world.
