Michelle Kovac

Michelle Kovac is an Academic Advisor for the School of Neuroscience. She has a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Master of Science in Career and Technical Education, both from Virginia Tech. She is originally from Allentown, PA, but came to Virginia Tech for college and has made Blacksburg her home.

Michelle’s professional career began in the hospitality industry working in convention services and sales. Then, she went on to teach high school marketing for 10 years before coming to Virginia Tech. Over the last 10 years at Virginia Tech, she has worked as a project manager and as the Director of Programs and Partnerships at the Honors College. Michelle enjoyed working with the Calhoun Honors Discovery Program and advising students participating in the Honors Minor in Collaborative Discovery, which led her to pursue a full-time advising position. She looks forward to working with neuroscience students and being a part of their academic journey.
