The School of Neuroscience celebrated its third commencement on Saturday, May 12th at the Moss Arts Center. Students, family, friends, faculty, and staff came together to honor the class of 2018, the largest School of Neuroscience graduating class yet.

This year was the first graduating class where students declared one of the four majors: clinical neuroscience, cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, computational and systems neuroscience, or experimental neuroscience.

Student speakers, Amanda Patterson and Anroux Mey, along with keynote speaker, Dr. Mike Bowers, delivered inspirational speeches to the class. Dr. Harry Sontheimer, Executive Director of the School of Neuroscience, left the students with one challenge: To “make a difference in the world.”

After departing the ceremony to the sound of “Enter Sandman,” families and friends gathered for an informal reception to celebrate the achievements of our newest alumni.
