Brain Bee

Brain Bee at Virginia Tech is a student-led organization run by undergraduate neuroscience majors dedicated to inspiring interest in neuroscience among local high school students. Each year, our undergraduate students organize and host an annual Brain Bee competition on campus, as part of the USA Brain Bee, a global initiative that challenges high school students' knowledge of neuroscience topics such as memory, emotions, neurological disorders, and brain research. Participants compete in an engaging question-and-answer format, designed to motivate them to explore the fascinating world of neuroscience and pursue careers aimed at understanding and treating neurological and psychological disorders. Winners from our local competition may advance to regional, national, and even international Brain Bee championships, joining peers from around the world to further their passion and expertise in neuroscience.
