Neuroscience Premedical Scholars Program

The Neuroscience Premedical Scholars Program (NPSP) offers undergraduate neuroscience majors guidance on their path toward medical school and a career as a physician. Through personalized advising and mentorship from School of Neuroscience faculty, students receive specialized support to navigate premed coursework, MCAT preparation, and the rigorous medical school application process. By participating in the NPSP, students can systematically track their progress and accomplishments and earn recognition through a certificate of completion. Students are eligible to participate in the program beginning their first year and may continue to seek support for two years following graduation. Additionally, successful completion makes students eligible for a valuable letter of recommendation from neuroscience faculty, enhancing their medical school applications. While admission to medical school is not guaranteed, the NPSP ensures participants are well-informed, thoroughly prepared, and highly competitive candidates.
