Congratulations to Elizabeth Gilbert, the 2017 recipient of the CALS Excellence in Basic Research Award. The award will be presented to Dr. Gilbert on August 9 in the Hahn Garden at Virginia Tech.  The award recognizes faculty with significant research achievements in basic research and mission-oriented or applied research.  As the recipient of this honor, Dr. Gilbert will also receive $5,000 in support of her research programs.
