"Medical rehabilitation is an interdisciplinary field that provides interventions to millions of individuals facing chronic disease and disorders (e.g. cerebral palsy, stroke, orthopedic surgeries), and it is crucial that this growing field implement interventions that have undergone sound scientific investigation through clinical trials. This paper sought to create guidelines for future medical rehabilitation clinical trials that can help maximize trial outcomes and expedite the translation of efficacious medical rehabilitation interventions", Dr. DeLuca says.
