Interaction of organophosphorus flame retardant exposure and diet on energy balance in adult mice
School of Neuroscience Innovators Seminar Series
Troy Roepke, Ph. D., Department of Animal Sciences, Rutgers University
- Public Neuroscience Seminar
- Fralin Auditorium
- Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019
- 11:00 AM – 12:00pm
Dr. Roepke’s research examines the influence of estrogens on physiology, behavior, and brain functions and how this intersects with developmental and adult exposures to endocrine disrupting compounds. He will present work on how adult exposures to flame-retardants affect energy balance, gene expression, neuronal activity, and hormone production. These findings have implications for the etiology of metabolic disorders in children and adults.
